Cassie Heck

I was born and raised in Alaska. At the age of 27 , in 2012, I longed for a change of pace so I moved to New York City. In February of 2020 I decided it was time to move closer to family and loaded up my two dogs and all my belongings in a truck and my Volkswagen Beetle and we made the trek to the Frozen Tundra.

My experiences with dogs who have been my family, as well as work opportunities that exposed me to many dogs and styles of handling, have shaped how I approach training. I have gone from a sled dog handler in Alaska, to walking dogs in Manhattan, to going through schooling to get my dog trainer certification, to working my way up to Senior Trainer at a high volume fitness and obedience center in Long Island, to setting up shop here in the Fox Valley. I have been blessed to have observed many dogs progress and ability to excel through several years of hands on practice. I know what methods truly work, not because someone told me they should, but because I have personally seen lasting results. Once we are able to clearly communicate with and understand our dogs we’ll open ourselves up to a whole new life experience.

Looking forward to growing, learning and training with you!
